The Glade
The glade is in full leaf. A buzzard soars out from her hideout, the lush spring grass and wild flowers swinging in the mild Somerset breeze beneath a canopy of gently swaying trees oblivious to the party plans. With a surround -sound system and geodesic performance area in the trees and video projections the Glade aims to provide the ultimate festival environment. Top live acts and DJ’s will be performing back to back throughout the day and late at night things will switch over to chill outzone in sequence to the visual arena.
The Glade has its roots in Avalon. Born and bred in the Avalon field and looking for new pastures to express the new horizons of dance music. The venue aims to provide that platform for spontaneity, a canvas for those magic festival moments. Artists from a wide spectrum of backgrounds have been chosen not just for their acclaim but also for their willingness to participate in something creative and experimental. Like ourselves, enter the glade and know not what to expect but to embrace it with an open heart and a free mind. Some names that have participated before and may appear again this year include: Squarepusher, Richard James (AKA Aphex Twin), James Zabiela, Freq Nasty,Koru, Ben & Lex
Chris Coco, Way Out West (DJ Set), Lee Coombs, Tayo, James Lavelle, Tony Global, Hybrid (Dj), Shpongle (live),Raja Ram (DJ, Hallucinogen, Man With No Name (live)
