Crime Substantially Down

4pm: According to Festival sources, crime at this year's Glastonbury Festival is 'uniformly down' on last year.

Recorded crimes, at last count, were 167 as opposed to 196 in 2002; yet more reason to relax and enjoy the glories of Glastonbury...

It's back to blissed-out sun-haze and everything is as one would always hope Glastonbury Festival should be today.

Everyone seems to have relaxed into the Festival in much the same way as Michael Stipe oozed his way into REM's sublime set last night.

Musically there's much to look forward to today, with sets from Supergrass, Jimmy Cliff, The Waterboys, Lamb and - of course - Radiohead amongst a multitude of others.

And that doesn't account for all the other liveliness, japery and general excitement to be found in all sorts of tucked-away corners of the Festival site. Happy hunting.
