Lost Vagueness
The essence of the free-spiritedness that Glastonbury has fostered for so many years now has been distilled into the incredible sub-culture exuberance of Lost Vagueness. A big collective, captained by Roy Gurvitz, a key figure in years of underground, un-funded Glastonbury venues and the mad late-night bars, Lost Vagueness comes at the end of a long underground Glastonbury journey; for years it went completely under the table.
The place and the people who discovered this sub-cult themselves never forgot the experience because it is precisely these experiences that make Glastonbury the unique place that it is. The problem was in haziness of these incredible experiences people struggled to recollect exactly where to find them again on returning to the festival, thus Lost Vagueness was aptly christened, and since it has always been the first place to open and most definitely the last place to shut.
Built up from pallets to a palace it represents the most organic cultural growth - the once subversive festival gatecrashers have now been given full creative control of their own uniquely weird part of the festival and subsequently surpassed the wildest imaginable creations - the ultimate Glastonbury-inspired creative freakout! A gathering-point and melting pot for those like-minded individuals who feel strongly connected to the festival - much of the work is carried out on a voluntary basis, with many people giving their free time to create this utterly brilliant yet chaotic vision.
Lost Vagueness Field will feature among other things:
The Ballroom
The coolest bands in three themed nights, which will be Vegas/Bollywood, Carnival and Gypsy Wedding.
The Casino
A full Casino, (dress code and suit hire) with 2 swing bands, trapeze and circus and the weirdest Cabaret's that Glastonbury has ever witnessed. You can't get in without a suit! You can hire them there so dress to impress!
