RNID - Services @ Glastonbury for Deaf & Hard of Hearing People

The RNID are back again at Glastonbury 2004 and this time round have a whole range of services available for deaf and hard of hearing people, alongside the RNID presence via their stall where more information on the following can be found:

Induction Loops: Induction loops are provided for hearing aid users in the Cabaret tent and in the RNID stall (if you face the Pyramid Stage the stall is on the right). Look for the T symbol.

BSL Interpreters: Two sign language interpreters are on-call from Friday morning to Sunday night. They can be contacted by SMS on 07963 704690 and 07977 850482. The interpreters are available for use in an emergency by any BSL user who needs to communicate with festival staff or volunteers.

If you do not have, or have lost, your mobile/text phone, go to any Information Point and they will be able to contact an interpreter on your behalf. (The sign language interpreters are not available to interpret performances or non-emergency conversations).

If you have any enquiries please contact Jess at the Glastonbury office via Typetalk on 1800101749899210. Alternatively e-mail Jess at [email protected].
