Tony and the eventuality team once again take great pride in presenting the Glastonbury Festival Kidz field. The amazing and beautiful thing about Glastonbury is it’s commitment to the future by supporting Oxfam, Wateraid, Greenpeace, CND and numerous other charities. Remember that all accompanied kidz under 13 get free entry to Glastonbury and the Kidz Field is the most entertaining 3 acres that a child could ever wish for.
Whether its slapstick, craft, lunacy, practical help, play or relaxation you’re searching for its all here and in an environment where parents can enjoy themselves and their children, and it’s all completely free of charge!
Once again we have has gathered together a selection of informed, credible and motivated artists to bring entertainment, education and understanding to kidz of all ages. Over the years many children have been born, and grown up at the festival and some of them will be completing the cycle by returning to help!
The Kidz Field is open from 9am to 7pm. Detailed times and running orders for the day can be found on various black-boards around the field. Please be aware that all kidz must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
And as the Kidz Field motto goes “It’s never too late to have a happy childhood, or to enable someone else’s”.
The Big Top
The Edinburgh Fringe launched ‘The mole who knew it was none of his business’, presented by Kipper Tie, a magical musical adaptation of the popular children’s picture-book. This show has gained praise across the board and is recommended for all kids and their parents. Kidz Field stalwarts Badger & Bodger (now with 7 TV series under their belt) bring us a new show and lots and lots of instant mash. The Capricho Theatre Co. Using their unique blend of actors, puppets and dynamic storytelling, Capricho bring you MoMo, an adaptation of Michael Ende’s classic children’s tale.
Other Big Top treats include the Kidz Field regulars The Foolhardy Folk Circus Clowns with their ‘Masters of Slapstick’ show while Mr Mike and Mr Maynard perform their highly rated show 'Lost'. Packed with visual trickery, a dog auction and two dating hedgehogs all alongside songs and silliness. Mike Hancock and Maynard Flip Flap are two of Britain’s most talented street entertainers and 'Lost' showcases all their skills.
Audience participation and giant bubbles abound when ‘Clown Berts Day at the Circus’ rolls in and Goffee send things towards the surreal with his ‘Emaculate Contraption’. The Butterfly Theatre Co. return with 'Oceanymotion' a black light performance with an eco theme. Follow the myriad of kaleidoscopic colours that dash and sparkle as natures aquatic stage bursts into life… But Wait… the ugly head of pollution threatens to flush the very life force from this liquid circus… what will happen???
This year sees a great new production from Bell & Bullock after their extraordinary walkabout as Aliens investigating the field in 2003. 'Cabin Fever' sets sail with Captain Bullock and Bosun Bell as they become involved in derring do and shenanigans, only circus skills and a pair of stout hearts can save the day.
Dynamic New Animation present ‘Chicken Lickin’ and the Little Red Hen’. Using innovative visual theatre techniques and delightful puppetry, DNA lead young children through imaginative landscapes and stories using light and shadow, paper and performer. Mixed into this recipe of puppets and music is the story of the little red hen and sly foxy loxy, will she outwit him and save her stuffing?

Washed up Swedish magician Sven thinks he is the greatest and Irene holds the show together, musical dance and slapstick comedy.
A Kidz Field premiere this year for ‘Dude where's my teddybear?’ by Johnny Berliner and Sheridan Humphries. More rock and roll than the teletubbies yet even more playschool than the original. Will Teddy be found before bedtime? Will Max be the first child on the moon? Will Granny get sunburn when she goes surfing. Bring your own teddybear and join the action. Also new is Josh Elwell’s ‘Pucks Bottom’ which uses hand carved puppets and an original score which draws on English and African Folk Music to retell Shakespeares ‘A Midsummer Nights Dream’.
