Peep Lost Sheep

The sun was glorious and the ground was dry: parents and their offspring were revelling in the change of weather as the infamous Glastonbury mud dried up and Wellington boots could be left in the tent.

The Kidz field, a haven of creativity, activities and performers for the youngest Glastonbury goers, hit the spot for hundreds of family revellers as summer reappeared on the first day of the festival. Parents were chilling-out on the grassy banks, flicking through the papers and enjoying the relaxed and colourful field as their charges painted, created, watched plays and explored this Alladin’s Cave for children.

Frantic Antics added to the wealth of wandering performers amusing and bemusing passers-by, enticing many to stop and join in with the fun. Little Bo Peep from Frantic Antics roamed the Kidz Field seeking her lost, furry, four-legged friends. She hadn’t managed to find her woolly flock but Little Bo Peep was cheery about her new surrogate flock of children.

Spotted surrounded by two-legged Glastonbury tots, ‘baa-ing’ in harmony, pretending to be her sheep, Bo Peep is now planning a ‘sheepdog’ trial for Saturday where children can pretend to be sheepdogs as well as her sheep! Parents will be happy to see their little ones having a great Glastonbury as the kidz bark and bleat with Bo Peep.
