BROADCAST SCHEDULE

With Glastonbury being arguably the most legendary festival around, an event of this scale requires suitable and regular media coverage to ensure that everyone who’s unable to attend doesn’t miss out on any of the magic and unique experience that is the Glastonbury Festival. For as long as most can remember there has been no more perfect a broadcaster partner to fill this role than the BBC, and the 2004 broadcast schedule, detailing all of the ways in which you can catch your favourite acts from this years festival, shows you why:

The BBC have it covered on all angles. Aside from the image and article delights of this oh-so-fantastic official festival website itself, if you didn’t manage to get tickets this year, fret not: more news, features, performer profiles, competitions and photos are just a click away at the BBC’s dedicated Glastonbury 2004 website. www.bbc.co.uk/glastonbury

This year Radio 1’s daytime duo Colin and Edith are at the forefront of the BBC’s coverage of Glastonbury 2004 and you can be sure that they’ll bring at least some of the wacky humour, funny irrelevance and serious music pundit views and opinions to your TV set and airwaves as the festival coverage begins on Monday June 14th and ends on Monday June 28th, with the Festival going interactive for the very first time on BBC Two and BBC Three. Sit back, tune in and enjoy!

On television:

For full coverage of each of Glastonbury’s 900 acres, BBC Three gets into the party spirit with Glastonbury Calling, a fortnight of programmes in the run-up to the Festival (14-24 June), while BBC Two features more unmissable performances and special guests, and ventures into the Festival’s most weird and wonderful corners.

(Services offering news and schedule information to music fans on the move will be available on WAP and PDA also).
