Please show your ticket when requested, but DO NOT GIVE YOUR TICKET TO ANYONE UNTIL YOU GO THROUGH THE TURNSTILES Anyone asking to take your ticket before that is not legit!
In 2003, some ticket buyers had their tickets stolen some distance from the Festival when they stopped at service stations. Your ticket is precious. Keep it secure - and do not flash it around.
This year you are also asked to bring ticket verification ID. Keep that safe as well and do not show it to anyone until you are at the turnstiles. That is the only place we will ask you to show your ID.
Neither the festival site nor campsites or carparks will open before 10am on Wed. 23rd June. Please do not plan your arrival before that. It cause local residents problems, there are no facilities available until then, and local police will move you on. From 10.00am on Wednesday pedestrian gates operate 24 hours a day until the end of the festival. Some useful information about car & campervan passes and parking is available on our tickets page.
Arriving By Car
Please read Infoman's page for car drivers, and remember that the roads around the site are narrow and dark. Driving in the country is quite different from driving in an urban environment. In 2002 a pedestrian was knocked down near the Festival. Keep your speed down – that black bag lying at the side of the road may be someone asleep using the bag for warmth.
Arriving on Foot
The lanes are narrow and unlit. Watch out for traffic and always wear light or reflective clothing if walking on local roads.
For more information about cars, buses, trains and other ways to arrive please see our travel section, and also make sure you have read the fine guide.
