Do you think you might need a break from the hustle and bustle of Glastonbury Festival’s main drag? If so, you could do a lot worse than escape for a while to the Blue Zone, particularly if you've brought young children with you.
Indeed, you may never want to leave the blue zone if you came with the family, as the family camping site is here, along with the Kidz Field (for children of 12 and under) and the Acoustic stage.
The Acoustic stage specialises in folk, roots, blues and traditional rock 'n' roll, ideal for chilling out to if it’s sunny. If the rain is coming down in sheets, it’s also a convivial tent in which to hide and listen to fine music.
The stage regularly features great artists such as The Waterboys, Robert Plant, The Bootleg Beatles and (in a moment of full-to-burstingness in 1995) Portishead.
The Kidz Field, situated next door, offers all the fun a twelve year old or under could possibly want; from fairground rides to puppeteers, workshops to storytellers. It’s open from 9am to 7pm and offers a safe environment in which the family can relax.
And all of this is only a short stroll away from family camping. Who says a crazy time at Glastonbury Festival can’t be relaxing and even fun for all the family?
