The Waterboys

WaterAid

Acoustic Stage - Saturday

Scottish born singer/songwriter Mike Scott’s mercurial Waterboys formed in London back in 1981.

The Waterboys have been slipping in and out of public consciousness ever since. They are certainly no strangers to Glastonbury having played here on several occasions. There is even a track called Glastonbury Song, which of course always goes down well here, this evening being no exception.

The acoustic tent is packed to the rafters for tonight’s show, and the Waterboys skilfully borrow from their vast compendium of songs; Vampire Man, Fisherman's Blues and Lonesome Old Wind stand out the most.

Hopefully they’ll still be playing here in twenty years.
