Acoustic Stage - Friday

Irish fiddler and button accordian player Sharon Shannon now seems as part of the Glastonbury experience as dirty fingernails and losing your tent.

She has played the acoustic stage on several occasions; rightfully clawing her way a little further up the bill with every passing year.

Drawing from substancial back catalogue of original material and a wealth of traditional Irish, Cajun and even Portugese folk music, Shannon delivers an eclectic and brilliant set to a warm an appreciative Glastonbury audeince.

She'll belong at the top of the bill in 2004.

Shannon's acclaimed album Out of the Gap is due for re-issue on July 7th.
