Snow Patrol Interview

We caught a few moments with Snow Patrol’s Gary Lightbody just as he stepped off stage after the biggest gig of their career so far.

So, how do you feel then?

“It’s unbelievable.” He pants, still breathless and shaking. “I don’t have any words to describe it, I don’t know if I will have any words!”

Different to how you were expecting?

“It was so much, really so much more. I don’t know what I was expecting, as you always fear the worst I guess, but that was amazing. It was just incredible, I was close to tears and still am. I’ve really gotta go before I cry!”

OK, but before you go, Macca or Oasis?

“Ooh, that’s a tough call.” He ponders. “Macca I suppose, because he invented everything, along with that other bloke, and er, Oasis are good too!” he adds, wryly before making the day of Superfan and Other Stage steward, the lovely Charlie Wang, 27, from Aberdeen, with a kiss and a hug. Aah…
