Now is the Summer of Our Disco Tent!

This year, the Dance Tent is hitching up its boots and going back to its roots with an all-day and all-night Disco Sensation.

The whole marquee will be transformed into a stunning spectacular celebrating the glory days of disco. A specially-constructed stage will run the whole width of the marquee and will include vast mirror balls, saucy inflatables, psychedelic light displays and huge, light-filled dance pods for our army of sexy dancers. This promises to be one of the most colourful, extravagant and exciting events ever seen at a Glastonbury.

Appearing live, we have some of the most exciting names from the history of disco including:

Sister Sledge ‘We Are Family’, ‘Lost in Music’, ‘He’s The Greatest Dancer’

Rose Royce ‘Wishing on a Star’, ‘Car Wash’, ‘Do Your Dance’

The Fatback Band ‘(Are You Ready?) To Do The Bus Stop’, ’I Found Loving’, ‘Wicky Wacky’

Soul II Soul feat. Jazzie B ‘Back To Life’, ‘Keep on Moving’

Earth, Wind For Hire - an amazing 10-piece tribute to you know who!

There’ll also be a few who are keeping the disco flame burning brightly to this day including the Summer’s biggest live stars, Scissor Sisters. DJs to make you keep on moving through the day and deep into the night are Bristol’s funkiest sons, Soul Train, DJ Diggz from Radio 1Xtra plus Devon’s First Brother of Soul, Joe Freeze.

And you can become part of the action. We want you to dig out your craziest retro gear, your rudest tubes and your biggest flares to help us turn the clock back and recreate Studio 54 at Glastonbury Festival.

It’ll be a bootylicious, Saturday Night Fever to remember!

The Disco Sensation takes place in the Dance Tent, Glastonbury Festival on Saturday 26 June, 2004.
