Short Film Competition Now Closed

1st May 2004

We thought: “Wouldn’t it be great if there was a marquee at Glastonbury that just showed cool movies all day long? Not big mega-budget feature films but funky shorts & animations - festival films. Where you could just go & chill out for a bit, watch movies, and drink tea.”

Well how many sugars do you want?

This year, the legendary Glastonbury cinema field plays host to one of the most amazing collections of short films ever assembled, in its very own marquee, all day, every day of the festival.

And then we thought: “And wouldn’t it be cool if people who’d made great movies could get them shown there?”

And the competition was born. Big thanks to everyone who entered – the post bags were full of weird & wonderful entries throughout April. It was a mind altering job to view them all, but view them we did and the quality of the films was stunning. We are now going through & picking out the very best ones for inclusion in the programme. Details of all films selected will be available on the website when the programme is announced in June.
