Welcome to the Acoustic Stage
|
So you're checking out the Acoustic Tent? Well my aural adventurer, you're in for a treat! It's an eclectic line-up this year with a little Country, Rock n' Roll, Blues, Folk and...Ragmop?
G Love and Special Sauce serve up the latter returning to Glastonbury for a Glastronomical second helping of their favourite festival.
Alvin Youngblood Hart and Eric Bibbs bring on the Blues while Jack L (does that stand for love?) joins the line-up with the deserving title of Dublin's most sexy man under 25.
If there were an award for Tight Trouser Wearing Rock God of the 70's it would undoubtly go to Mr. Robert Plant who's appearing with Priory of Brion.
'All well and good', I hear you say, 'but are there any ladies in the house?' But of course! Ms Suzanne Vega represents and having recently published some poetry, might treat you to a spoken word performance.
Leslie Dowdall and Kate Rusby are on hand to bring a little folk music to the mix.
The infectious accordian playing of Sharon Shannon could tempt Liam O'Maonlai and the Hot House Flowers onstage for a bit of an impromptu jam!
Or perhaps the country contingent will lasso proceedings with Hank Williams III and Allison Moorer creating a crazy Hoe Down.
All wild speculation of course but this is Glastonbury's Acoustic Stage...anything could happen!
