Circus & Theatre News

This page is provided only for information, it does not apply to the 2002 festival.
So, what shall we do today? Get up, shower, eat cornflakes, go to work, school, back to bed? No, no, no, no! Today is the 23rd of June 2000. Some of us haven't even been to bed. There are few showers but mud baths are becoming a distinct possibility. Cornflakes would be a sad choice alongside breakfast cornucopia and as for work, school and all that tedium - we'll have absolutely none of that here. Here is the Circus Field. The only place in the world today where a responsible mum of two with a fear of heights and an inclination towards extreme clumsiness will voluntarily risk life and limb to deliver a first hand account of the Glastonbury Festival Circus Skills Experience. Trapeze, stilts, knife throwing, fire-juggling and the high wire beckon. Join me later (survival permitting) for my update "Without the Aid Of A Safety Net". Sandy Francis.
