A Glastonbury Festival for Bejing?
Did you know the Glastonbury Festival is broadcast via radio in China? Ten years ago the Chinese Government sought permission to transmit the event claiming they could only afford a paltry 300 for the priviledge. Michael Eavis agreed and for the first time ever, seven Chinese Government Ministers have come to see for themselves if this is the sort of event they want to hold in Beijing. "They're down there somewhere wandering round in wellies," Eavis mused; "I can't imagine getting the Pyramid Stage over there."
