The Tunnel

This page is provided only for information, it does not apply to the 2002 festival.
Think of spontaneous music-making at Glastonbury. What comes to mind ? All night drumming sessions and digeridoo blow outs ? Camp-fire singers ? Folkies in beer tents ? Yes, there will doubtless be some. But this year there's a spectacular new aspect to 24-hour music-making at Glastonbury - The Tunnel. The Tunnel links the Greenpeace Field with the Green Futures Field - it runs under the old railway track. Sound installation specialists Greyworld are combining with musicunsigned.com to convert the Tunnel into an interactive sound environment. Using optimum technology, various midi triggers and other digital controllers, the walkway will react to your movements, touch and sound, freaking out the sane and arousing the insane in a bizarre and wonderful living sound experiment.
