Kidz Field
This page is provided only for information, it does not apply to the 2002 festival.
Glastonbury Festival has always been committed to the future, so it's no surprise that all accompanied children of 14 and under are admitted free; and all rides, shows and activities on the kidz field are free of charge !
As Glastonbury has become world-renowned as a pop festival the media focus has been drawn away from the enormous amount of family entertainment and facilities at the Festival. This page brings you news on the acts booked for the Kidz Field so far - there are many more to be announced. The Kidz Field is a huge childrens' festival on its own ! For more information on bringing your kidz to Glastonbury, facilities, childrens' welfare and the Family Field check out the Fine Guide. If you have a question, ask Infoman !
The kidz field is open every day from 9 am to 7 pm, a haven from the bustle where families can relax and enjoy themselves in a field full of festival for younger folks. This year Eventuality are proud to present their biggest and best line-up ever!

Rides and Games
There are rides and games spread all over the field. At the top is the magic castle with slides and ropes, towers and dungeons, manned by the Woodcraft Folk who are promoting the right to play - article 12 of the UN declaration of human rights. Unmissable next to it is The Chipperfield's fabulous 1900s Lighthouse Helter Skelter (which can be seen from all over the site and is a good landmark). At the bottom of the field you'll find the aerial runway along with swingboats, chairoplaines, roundabouts, trampolines, gyroscopes, magic gardens, wierd sculptures, huge painting screens, musical mazes, prisms, virtual space ships and much more!

Tiny tots will feel at home in the little kidz area, a safe, fenced in area at the top of the field with it's own mini playground and helpers, including shaded sandpit, swingboats, book and toy tent. Bristol Playbus is on hand along with Sunrise Education to help you play.
Children must be accompanyed at all times!
Although there are many experienced playworkers and crew on the kidz field to ensure your fun, we cannot offer creche facilities.
