The pop prince and the monkey girl
|
Unlikeliest Glastonbury attendee? That would have to be Will Young, of Popstars (mega-)fame. Surely the seductive young openly gay smoothie crooner, beloved of all those housewives and teenies, would never risk dirtying his little booties in the mud of Glastonbury? Oh yes he bloody well would. Good man!

Here we see him heading towards the dance tent with the lovely Laurie, his new best friend, aka Monkey Girl, talker of very amusing monkey-related gibberish to the cognoscenti. If Mr Evergreen is looking to shed his squeaky-clean image, he's going about it the right way, by not only going to Glastonbury, but also by abandoning the lounge lizard suit in favour of a hat that may well have been weaved from yoghurt in Outer Mongolia (or so the hippy he bought it from claimed). So can we be expecting Goa trance remixes of your next single, Will? Look out for him later in the Stone Circle, getting naked and finding his inner spirituality. Christ, Will, it takes most newly appointed stars at least ten years to reach their finding spirituality stage.
