 Flamenco Aire
|
Flamenco Aire (pronounced Ireee, meaning vibe) are an accomplished five piece Spanish dance outfit made of a flamboyant, big voiced hard clapping lead singer and MC, a virtuoso bongo player, awesome guitarist and two traditional dancers complete with black and red everything, roses in their hair, loud shoes, crisp hands and free flowing skirts.

The crowds around the Dance, Variety and Fire stage love them. Saturday's audience tried its best to clap along and some of us even stood up and tried to copy the foot movements throwing in the odd hearty ole instead, to cover our embarrassment.
They have danced through sun and even a little light rain but their efforts during Sunday afternoon's force 10 were the most admirable. Professional to the last, they braved the breeze and Flamenco'd as if they were basking in Spanish sunshine. And the crowd melted.
