Joint Statement from Eavis & Power
OK, you're all dying to know what's going on. Fair enough, can't say we blame you. It's a tricky time indeed, developments, negotiations - matters changing on an almost hourly basis. We've been getting quite a lot of flack for our reluctance to respond to what is, to a large extent, a lot of speculation and hearsay. But now we have the definite news.

Michael Eavis, from Glastonbury Festival and Vince Power from Mean Fiddler met to give a joint press briefing at The Landmark Hotel, on 20/02/02. What follows is a joint statement.
Statement from the Mean Fiddler, Michael Eavis and the Workers Beer Company.
A meeting took place in London between Mean Fiddler, Michael Eavis and the Workers Beer Company.
As a result of the meeting Michael Eavis and the Mean Fiddler are proud to announce that they have reached a fundamental understanding as to what is needed to safeguard the spirit of the Glastonbury Festival while taking the steps necessary to secure its future.
They will work in unity and friendship, along with the Workers Beer Company, to secure this unique festival. They have today signed an agreement which embodies this understanding.
So what does this mean ?
Media speculation has been just that! For once, Hearsay is making the news for something other than a new band member!!!
Tickets will go on sale this Friday (22nd Feb).
This is not a forum for rumour spreading or fanciful supposition so we won't enter into the what-ifs and the maybes, when something happens we will let you know either way. And don't worry, we will.
Love, Peace and Hope.
