Radio Avalon celebrates 21 years of broadcasting to the Glastonbury Festival this year and we're bigger and better than ever before! We will, of course, bring you accurate and useful festival information throughout the day as well as talking to performers and workers alike, profiling every aspect of the festival. We will play you the best music from every area of the festival and as usual, Radio Avalon will play host to exclusive live performances by some of the biggest artists on-site, from "The Wireless Stage".

As you near the site tune your radio to 87.7 FM for all the festival information you could want (including essential details for drivers on the state of the roads, gates car parks and camping fields) and if you couldn't get a ticket this year, then you can listen live on the Internet at www.radioavalon.co.uk and we will bring the best of the festival direct to your desktop!

New for this year, Radio Avalon will host a regular hour long show every day showcasing some of the entrants of the Festival's recent unsigned bands competition. Also the winners of the UK Student Broadcast awards will bring you more real festival music every evening. At lunchtime we delve deep into the archives to celebrate 21 years of festival broadcasting, bringing you all the best bits from shows such as "The Pilton Breakfast Show", including a tribute to Station Manager Fred Williams who sadly passed away in April 2004. There will also be regular news and travel updates keeping you informed of the best times and routes to/from the festival, places to park, and where to pitch your tent. The will also be regular welfare announcements and festival advice.
