The finalists for the Glastonbury Festival Unsigned Performers Competition 2004 have now been chosen.

All of the listeners would like to extend their thanks to everyone who entered. We received thousands of entries and every CD was listened to. As we only have places for twenty-four finalists, we have had to disappoint many good bands and performers and we wish every one the very best of luck in future. If you are one of the people who entered the competition, thank you.

Thankfully, we didn't have to disappoint everybody, and are delighted to be able to announce our competition finalists. One of these competitors from each stage will be playing Glastonbury this June. The finalists are listed below - for biographical information on the bands, click on the name of the stage they are competing to play at.

The loveGods were invited to play at the final for the New Tent, but as recent winners of the BBC Radio 1 unsigned band competition, they have prior commitments. The Festival wishes them lots of success.

The finals take place on the 23rd, 24th and 30th of April and also the 1st of May.
