As the days and nights merge and the sleep the deprivation kicks in, the menagerie of festival eccentrics increases tenfold by day 3. The Glade vibe for Sunday was kicked off by Matt Black, Coldcut DJ and Ninja Tune deliverer of "funkjazzticaltricknology" apparently. Finest purveyor of 21st Century experimental sounds from the underground, the man is a legend. Even in scaled down DJ mode Matt Black is a man that can captivate a crowd as well as any live act. The Spoon Wizards followed up providing some restrained new school schools sounds and unveiling 2 tunes from their new album.

The real high point was yet to come as the Hybrid Sound System stormed the Glade with a barrage of progressive break beats and jaw dropping versions of Papua New Guinea and Bomb Scare. Other performances of the day included Afterlife, Headcandy and Darren Chapman, but nothing could beat the spacious sounds of the Hybrid crew echoing across the Glade.
Special Guest's, Monk and Canatella provided the end set from this years festivals and succeeded in redirecting the vibe in an entirely different. Although out of step with the rest of the weekend, the band enjoyed it and so did the crowdwell most of it anyway. Monk and Canatella hit the stage bringing their own fanclub with them. The fluffies fled in all directions and the Glade bubble burst into a frenzy of breaks, beats and dirty guitar. A strange way to end the festival granted, but at the end of the day, Glastonbury's latest dance space has proved itself and with any luck it will be a feature of the festival for years to come.
